Central Park is a runner’s paradise with its lush greenery, iconic landmarks, and well-maintained paths. Depending on what you are looking for there are many different routes that you can enjoy.

  • The Reservoir Loop  (1.58 miles / 2.54km)
    • A flat, dirt path that circles the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. Enjoy breathtaking views of the water and the Manhattan skyline. It is 2.7km from our Lexington Avenue location which if you wanted to run there and back, clocking up a total of almost 8km.
  • The Lower Loop (1.7 miles / 2.7km)
    • Slightly closer to our Lexington Avenue location, this route takes you past landmarks like the Bethesda Fountain and Sheep Meadow. This is just 0.8km from the hotel making it a 4.3km round trip.
  • The Full Loop (6.1 miles / 9.8km)
    • For a longer workout, this route covers the park’s perimeter and includes rolling hills to challenge your endurance. You can start at the nearest point to our Lexington Avenue location making it a 11.4km round trip.
  • Central Park Highlights tour (4.5 miles / 7.2km)
    • Central Park also offer a guided run that lasts for one hour and takes you past famous sights like Bethesda Fountain, The Mall, Strawberry Fields, and many more.

Pro Tip: Early mornings are ideal for avoiding crowds and enjoying the tranquility of the park.

Yoga and Stretching in the City

If you prefer a slower pace, yoga is a fantastic way to stay centered. Many studios in NYC offer drop-in classes:

  • Central Park Walking Tour With Yoga
    • This is a perfect way to get to see the park on foot and experience some yoga while you are at it. Get to meet other people and hit your wellness goals during this fun experience.
  • Bryant Park Winter Yoga
    • Check the schedule for free or low-cost yoga sessions held outdoors, even during the winter months. It’s a unique way to stretch and relax in the heart of the city.
