Originally built circa 1740, the current Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dubiln, Ireland was acquired by John Fitzpatrick’s parents, the late Paddy and Eithne Fitzpatrick in 1977.

It’s no surprise that Fitzpatrick’s is a popular choice for many Irish visitors the Irish hotel group has two center locations each within a stone throw of the iconic landmarks. Well Fitzpatrick hotel group consists 2 hotels uh the first one is the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Lexington Ave. between 56 and 57 and the advantage to that hotel would be it’s close to Bloomingdale’s and tiffany’s all the top stores and Central Park and it’s got 100 rooms basically for families I would recommend this hotel because the rooms are oversized a lot of them are oversized so you can put four or five in a suite.

In the Fitzpatrick Manhattan you can expect Irish hospitality in the heart of midtown New York with the prime setting on Lexington Ave. it’s only minutes from attractions such as Saint Patrick’s cathedral Carnegie Hall and the Russian tea room, having recently undergone A renovation all of its 40 bedrooms and 52 executive suites go above and beyond standard comfort. Guests can expect an Irish on sweet marble bathrooms queen size beds and beautiful rosewood furniture, took about three years to get this off the ground and it was way back we started off in the bedrooms and look what we were trying to do was renovate the place without disturbing the customers, thank God we are now since last November finished totally from the top to the bottom.

The rooms and suites are luxuriously fitted with all possible amenities including pay-per-view movies, the suites are also provided with queen size sofa beds in the living rooms, free extras include papers every day and evening turn down service with complimentary chocolates and mineral water there’s also cable TV and Internet access available, those keen to keep fit while on holiday can avail of complimentary use of a fitness center just a few blocks away, the hotels restaurant and bar has also been revamped while still retaining its authentic Irish welcome.

Chef Jim begins by showcasing the imported Irish smoked salmon, narrating its journey from Ireland to a New York Catskills smokehouse. Describing the intricate brining process with brown sugar, salt, spices, and Irish whiskey, he lays out neatly shingled smoked salmon on plastic for the rolling process.

Skillfully seasoning the salmon with a sprinkle of sea salt, peppercorns, and rich crème fraîche, Chef Jim introduces the star of the dish – Dublin prawns sautéed in butter, flambeed with Jameson whiskey, and infused with fresh tarragon.
